Staff at organ specialists Harrison and Harrison, carry one of the pipes removed from York Minster’s grand organ. Around 5,403 pipes will be repaired or refurbished in a process that will take almost two years to complete. Some of the pipes date back to the 1830s and many have remained silent since the last major overhaul in 1903.
