Sheikh Zayed Bridge

One of the few crossings in the world designed by the late Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, this four-lane, two-directional bridge’s flowing steel arches evoke the fluid movement of sand dunes. The Sheikh Zayed Bridge links the main island of Abu Dhabi to the Arabian Gulf mainland, and so delivers about as grand an entrance to a city as you’ll find anywhere in the world. It’s one of three bridge crossings.
