Treatment facility in Cambodia


In Cambodia, residents in a locked treatment facility in Cambodia take part in military-style exercises. ‘Compulsory treatment facilities’ such as this exist in most countries in the region, with staffing more commonly by police than healthcare workers. Facing a lack of alternative treatments, families bring their children to these centers. Residents cannot usually leave for at least six months. The approach has been criticised by the UN and other agencies
